Invitation to Bid "Various Appliances/Nozzles and Hoses"
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Springfield Township Fire Department is administering a FEMA grant for the purchase of appliances/nozzles and hoses. Any submitted bids that do not meet these specifications shall be deemed non-complaint.
Sealed bids will be received by Springfield Township, Mahoning County, Ohio, at the Springfield Township Administrative Building, 3475 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, Ohio 44443 until 6:00 PM on April 8th 2026 at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
Specifications and bid documents may be obtained at the Springfield Township Administrative Building, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday or online by emailing the Springfield Township Assistant Fire Chief at jwharry@springfieldtownshipmah.org. All questions regarding the bid specifications, bid documents or procedures should be directed to the Springfield Township Assistant Fire Chief at (330) 542-3761 or jwharry@springfieldtownshipmah.org.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name, address, and marked "AFG Nozzles and Hoses 2026 —Springfield Township, Ohio — DO NOT OPEN UNTIL 6:00 PM on April 8th 2026 shown on the outside. Bids must be accompanied by complete descriptive matter and a completed contract or quote attachment, non-collusion affidavit, non-discrimination affidavit, statement of bidder qualifications, bid guaranty and contract bond, and political contribution certificate that are provided with the specifications. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time will neither be read nor considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder.
Each bid shall contain the full name of each person submitting the bid. Springfield Township has the right to accept or reject any or all bids and make such awards as they deem to be in the best interest to the acquisition of the required equipment.

The Springfield Township Fire Department has proudly served the community since 1947, providing primary fire protection and emergency medical services to the residents of Springfield Township. In June 2023, the department implemented part-time staffing to enhance service delivery and response capabilities.

The Springfield Township Police Department is staffed by eleven full-time officers, including the Chief, Lieutenant, and Sergeant. The department also maintains a K-9 unit to enhance public safety and law enforcement capabilities.

The Springfield Township Road Department is responsible for the maintenance and care of all township-owned roads throughout Springfield Township. The department is staffed by three full-time employees and is equipped with a variety of machinery to support safe and reliable roadway operations.
